FAQs

Send your date, location and rough guest numbers. The team checks availability and sends a quote built around your event. Once that is agreed, the booking is confirmed in writing and the date is held for you. Get in touch to book today.

Compassionate Coffee takes card only on the van at public events, so there’s no rummaging for coins in the queue. Private bookings need a deposit to secure the date. The remaining balance is then invoiced, payable by card or bank transfer.

Connie can be booked any time of year, and dates are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier you get in touch, the better your chance of securing the day you want. Enquire now if you’ve got a date in mind.

Yes. Connie runs as a pay-as-you-go bar or a prepaid tab, whichever suits the occasion. Plenty of hosts cover a set number of drinks and let guests buy their own after that, which keeps the budget predictable. You can find our prices on our menu.

Connie needs very little: a firm, reasonably level pitch with room to open the hatch and let a queue form safely. She runs on her own battery and gas, so there’s no need for mains power or water, even in the middle of a field.

She measures 4.63m long, 1.93m wide and 2.67m high. It’s worth checking those against any gates, arches or low branches on the way in.

She is a vehicle, so she works outdoors, under cover or inside larger spaces with vehicle access. Marquees and courtyards are no problem. Send your venue details and the team will confirm what works.

Yes. Compassionate Coffee is fully insured, covering both the vehicle and public liability. Once you book Connie, you’ll receive all the paperwork your venue needs, including public liability details and certificates, in one go.

Connie serves whatever the weather, and a hot drink tends to be even more popular in the wet. Her hatch keeps the barista dry and the queue moving.

Yes, though the deposit is non-refundable. Cancel more than four weeks before your event and the deposit is all you lose. Cancel within four weeks and full payment is due.

Plans change, and the team will always try to help you move your date instead. If a suitable new date can be found within six months of the original, the cancellation fee is waived.

She pours tea, hot chocolate, chai, iced drinks, soft drinks and baby chinos, so nobody in the queue misses out. Alternative milks and decaf are available on request. Find out more by viewing our menu.
